I was trapped in the snow storm the night of March 7th. There were no hotel rooms available in Brinkley or the surrounding areas. I had been in traffic for 8 hours. When I arrived at the Days Inn the young woman at the front desk told me there were no rooms available, but I was welcome to rest in the lobby. Many other motorist came in and were offered the same friendly response. After sitting on the lobby sofa for about 15 minutes the desk clerk told me that they were opening up some rooms that had been closed for repair as long as the guests did not have a problem with this. She asked if I would like a room though the phone did not work. I assured her that would be fine. After tax the room was a little over $70. The staff was wonderful, the rooms were clean and the continental breakfast included waffels made by a staff member.
