In my opinion, this is the best hotel in San Marcos (and I've stayed in a few of them). It's very clean, and comfortable, the staff is friendly, helpful and speak great English, and it has one of the best breakfasts you can find in the area! more

Loved the Mirador suite at Aaculaax. The room, a short trek up some relatively steep steps from (almost all of) the remainder of the hotel, was awesome. There are two good reasons to arrive at the Aaculaax early: it was almost full when got there (early Nov, so not even high season) and it's extremely difficult to find in the dark!
