A self-contained apartment that has all you need - air-conditioning, a smart TV, kitchen (with all you need sans dishwasher). We got the 2 bedroom apartment, and the only quibble I have is with a narrow corridor and doors that swing outwards, the potential for someone coming out of the bathroom and someone coming out of the toilet (both separate) to clash when they open the doors is super high! Also, you will have to rent bed linens and towels (as a set, charged per pax) when you check in, unless you have your own. Check out is 10am, and you will need to empty the trash, strip the bed linens and place all near the door. Location is just next to the fishing lake. Lots of fishing enthusiasts there. Very serene and perfect for a sunset walk around the lake. Netto not far away as well. Clean and comfortable stay. Will definitely recommend!

Bungalows are neat and well maintained. The place is quiet and tranquil, with a number of ponds close by. Judging from passer-by's, fishing seems to be very popular for those staying at the property, the fish looked rather sizeable too (freshwater). It seems that there are a few new, upmarket residences available, they look rather modern compared to the wooden bungalows and may be worthwhile staying in. Unfortunately the owner seemed a little grumpy at times and had an issue with our dog not being on a leash when resting on the verandah. Otherwise all was well, one would think that the linen and towels should be included in the price. If you don't bring your own, you can rent the linen at reception. The barbeque grills provided were disgustingly filthy (all of then´m that were available), so bring lots of cleaning materials if you intend having a barbeque. Shops are around but about 2.5 km away (Fotex). Ribe old town is about 1.5km estimated, with some nice little shops and restaurants.

We stayed in an apartment for two nights. The location is very convenient, 3 minutes drive from Ribe's torvet, in a wonderful landscape, very green and with a beautiful lake where you can catch fishes if you like. Very quiet at night, except for neighbours, of course! The apartment was nice, with a well furnished kitchen, a living room, a bathroom; the bedroom was upstairs. There was also a patio with a table. You have to ask and pay extra for bedsheets and towels. Overall positive opinion, but the walls are very thin, the wi-fi not stable, the check out at 10:00 am is too early, since you are required to take off bedsheets and towels, do the cleaning and take out the trash yourself. For what you pay, I think this is unfair. Also there was a warning about thieves which made us very conscious and feel uncomfortable, it was the first time in our 15 day trip in Denmark that we had this bad feeling.

We are a French Canadian couple and we travelled all around Scandinavia during 2 months mid August to mid October 2015. We reserved and used 24 lodgings during this trip. In this place, there are many styles of lodging: some are two-story cottages (as on the Internet photo) and others are small attached apartments of one story with a mezzanine. Positive: Free WiFi and parking, well equipped kitchen, big bathroom Negative: It is out of the city, you need a car. Bed not at the same level than the bathroom it is upstairs on the mezzanine and we have to climb a steep staircase to get there. We are a senior couple, so that annoyed us. The major thing was the absence of linen included in the price. They asked us to pay 70DKK each (15 US$) for one night to rent it, we refused to pay on top of what was already asked for the room. They said they do that because the tenants (mostly from Europe) come with their linen. We are from Canada, we did not bring our linen with us. They should think about other ways to provide them for overseas visitors: a deposit or anything else. We slept without sheets and we could not dry ourselves after the shower. Among our 24 lodgings in Scandinavia, it was the only place where we experienced this.

We stayed at Storkesoen Ribe for 2 nights during a car trip around Denmark prior to a cruise. It is a beautiful location with a lake and cottages. It is also about a 20 minute walk from the old town which we enjoyed. Unfortunately for us, we reserved an apartment unit (rather than a cottage). The apartments while quaint have the sleeping area upstairs with no ventilation. The heat rises during the day causing the sleeping area to be too warm for a comfortable sleep. Leaving the windows open or running the portable air conditioner offered no discernible relief even when the air conditioner was on all day. We also had to rent towels and linens for the beds as these do not come with the rental of the unit.

Storkesoen Ribe is an excellent option for your stay at Ribe. We stayed at a cottage with our two year old and a half child and we fall in love with the house and place. It's very quiet, the house has everything you need to stay in. The cottage is wooden made so perfect environment for a relaxing holidays. The sofa is very comfortable and wifi works really fast and it's free. The neighbourhood is very kind, most are families with children. There is a lake one minuto walking distance from the cottages where fishers go fishing mostly at the weekend. Ribe town is 2km far away from this camping so you need a car. The town is lovely so it's a must in your stay at Ribe. Also the Viking Center, just 1km far away from the camping. The owners are lovely, so I would definitely reccomend this camping as the best option at Ribe. The island of Romo is just 30 km far away, perfect for a day trip. Very close to Billund airport, 60km.

Ribe (and Tonder) were the first stop locations on out trip around Denmark. The location of Storkesøen Ribe was ideal for this. We stayed in one of the cottages which was nicely equipped. One of the kids lost his stuffed Animal which send to us by post! We stayed 2 days and enjoyed the surroundings.
