We arrived on a monday afternoon to be fantastically surprised by this quaint and cozy chateau in poigny la foret.
The grounds were amazing with century-old trees everywhere.
The chateau itself is right-sized - not too big not too small. it truly felt like a french style B&B or in this case a C&B (Chateau & Breakfast).
We slept so deep on all 3 nights, only to be awakened by birds at sunrise.
The region is anchored by la Foret de Rambouillet, one of the largest forests in France, thus creating a natural ecosystem of fresh air and micro-climate. Fantastic country shopping at nearby posh Montfort L'Amaury (the Beverly Hills outside of Paris).
