We stayed one night here on our way to the ferry at Cherbourg which is about 16 miles or half an hour away by car, via the D900. We spent 3 days and 2 nights at L'Hostellerie du Chateau and absolutely loved it! The room was clean and comfortable and the entire property looked like something out of a fairy tale! Good location for a "jumping-off point" to visit the attractions of Normandy. Medieval ambience, including a castle tower. Rooms are small but serviceable; facing the inner courtyard is preferable to facing the road. Attractive breakfast room and NO SMOKING anywhere on the premises, a very welcome sight in France. We totally agree with the other trip advisor reviewers. On their recommendation we booked the Queens Room and weren't disappointed. Really comfortable room, lovely views over the inner courtyard of the old grounds, quiet, clean and well-furnished.
