The owners are probably the nicest people in Eureka Springs. They were the nicest ones we met, anyway. The only thing is, the hotel is old. While it is clean, the rooms have a certain "old" smell to them. It's not something that bothers you more than a couple of seconds after you walk in. We stayed twice in two months and had different rooms each time. The shower heads are small, and the water pressure isn't much to write home about either. But the rooms are adequate. The price is fair. We liked the heated outdoor pool, and the coffee and muffins in the morning. They have a little deck area that's a nice place to sit outside as well. There are huge shade trees. But beware. The walk down the hill to the pool is TREACHEROUS. If you are wearing wet shoes, watch out. (Someone in our first party slipped, grabbed the hand rail to steady herself, and got a handfull of splinters for it.) You must be VERY careful. Steep is an understatement.
