We were part of a wedding party all of whom were very satisfied with their rooms and the hotel staff. Even though it rained lightly most of the time, it could not dampen our spirits. Considering the age of the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised. Staff was great helping with wedding reception. The only thing lacking was a ghost sighting. more

Summary of Good things about the hotel: Bellmen/Valet - These guys must work 20 hr shifts, but they were nice and provided prompt service Spa - This was a good experience Location - This is the best thing about the hotel. You are right in the middle of the shops and restaraunts (Check out the Town Shop across the Street)... more

We stayed at the Basin Park last week for a conference. To begin with, the front-desk staff was anything but accomodating. We were billed incorrectly, and the staff acted like it was an inconvenience for them to correct their mistake. It was raining outside, and when we inquired about valet parking (since the sign above the desk clearly states they... more

Walk on by...horrible place. Yeah it's old...but it smells old, everything creaks, including the bed, which is pretty bad. Paper-thin walls. Totally not worth the bucks. Parking was a nightmare. more

I knew the Basin Park was 104 years old and I expected (as with all the cottages and bed and breakfasts in Eureka) the building itself would be aged, but I did not expect the room condition for $161. It looks nothing like the room in the photos. I had to walk down a dark hallway, and open a wooden... more

Perfect downtown location for walking and shopping. Get a great rate on the balcony suite with double shower and jucuzzi. Giant balcony overlooking park. Valet parking only $10 as you don't need car with shuttle and trolley. Hotel staff friendly and informative. While this hotel can be pricey, watch for specials. The Balcony restaurant is grand and overlooks the street.... more

Stayed 9/11-9/14. Great location; crummy room. Staff was more than helpful which made up for some of the room discomfort. Followed the directions given when booking about parking in the "yellow" zone. We checked in, unloaded the luggage and followed their instructions on where to park. Some posts said a couple of blocks - I think it's much farther, but... more

Taking into consideration that it is an old hotel,,,,and I did enjoy the atmosphere...it is way overpriced for the condition of the rooms....point blank,,,stay in the surrounding motels/hotels for half the money and ride the trolley...... more

I'm writing this review from my room at the Basin. Last night we looked at hotels on the internet and based on price and photos narrowed it down to Quality Inn, Best Western and Basin Park. When we got to town we passed the first two and stopped here. The hotel looked cool from the outside, the location was right... more

We stayed for one night at the Basin Park. We had a room with a King bed and an absolutely huge Jacuzzi. The room was nice. The Jacuzzi was awesome! The bed was the most comfortable bed ever. I would stay here again. The location was great for walking to shops. The only down side is having to park way... more
