Very cute and clean cabins right on the lake. Only downside is that the shared kitchens and bathrooms require a quick trip outside. Fine in summer, but it was in the 40s when we were there. The guesthouse is managed by a 2/3 latvian girls with a degree in Tourism Management. The result is a nice stay, ospitality and savoir faire. The rooms in the guesthouse are small but clean, you can use the kitchen and the lounge is a spectacular room, completely windowed on the Myvatn Lake. There are also wood cottages. This guesthouse offers nice cottages in the Myvatn area. If you don't mind the flies (which are all over Myvatn, not just here) it is a lovely place to establish a homebase while exploring the Myvatn area. The dog, Vallur, is very friendly and added a homey touch to the place. more
