Just home from our second stay, just booked a third. Location unsurpassed with stunning views of Ballycotton lighthouse and harbour. Staff are wonderful without imposing, totally natural. Can't recommend highly enough, for that break away from the usual hustle and bustle. Bring your walking shoes for the local clifftop walks, breathtaking. Only negative - dining a little pricey....... I stayed here with my wife while visiting in laws and the place was amazing. From the moment we checked in we felt at home and the staff were probably the best we have come across and we travel frequently. The hotel itself has amazing views and situated in a village that time has forgot. It's very old fashioned almost... More

I didn't stay in this hotel so I can't rate the accomodation but the staff are excellent. We stopped at the hotel before a wedding locally and the lady at reception was extremely pleasant. She managed to get a sandwich for us even though they weren't officially serving food yet and couldn't have been any nicer. The location is superb,... More

This is a beautiful old world hotel. Ballycotton, itself is a lovely village. The views are just superb. It was a lovely quiet peaceful stay just what we wanted. We also visited the Schooner bar which is very modern, beautiful but yet welcoming. We did many things such as the cliff walk, visited Ballymaloe cookery school, the Kilkenny shop in... More

Stayed here as part of a business trip. Met with all my needs. Room was clean but old fashioned. Breakfast was decent. Service was fine. It's in the middle of nowhere. Amazing view though. Makes a meal there worth it. Cliff walk is lovely too. I preferred its sister hotel; the Garryvoe.

Went here for lunch recently. Got fish special, open sandwich, kids pasta dish and 4 baby potatoes. Two glasses of wine and an orange juice. Fish was the best part. Open sandwich was 2 slices of brown with lettuce and half a cherry tomato. A grand total of 57 euro. Too expensive but the view was fab and the garden... More

Having had dinner recently in the hotel restaurant I was surprised by the quality of the food taste and quality was top class but I must say the portion size was small for the price that they were charging that is the only fault I could find the waiting staff were top class and very helpful the restaurant was very... The clue is in the name. Overlooking the sleepy fishing port of Ballycotton, this small, welcoming hotel enjoys wonderful views out to sea and across the bay to Shanagarry, East Cork. We visited on what was one the coldest, wettest Easter weekends on record; and spent more time actually in the hotel than we had planned. That this turned out... More

Ballycotton and the surrounding area have spectacular views. The view from our bedroom window was breathtaking. If you are looking for somewhere to go to get away from a hectic every day life this is the spot for you. The service at the hotel was of an extremely high standard, they all take pride in their work and it shows.... More

My wife and stayed here for a wedding along with 3 other groups of our family. We were greeted with tea/coffee and scones on arrival. The owners wee very friendly. The rooms are very spacious and clean and none of our party had any complaints. The breakfast in the morning was superb. Loads of their own lovely fresh bread. We... More
