As other reviewers have said, there's not much in Ballybay itself, but it is convenient to many places, only about an hour from Dublin. When we stayed there, the entire place had been refurbished and it was just lovely. The sitting room downstairs is both elegant (in yellow and red) and comfortable. The Ardmore House is certainly the best B&B in Ballybay. I was glad to see we had chosen that over the RiverDale Hotel that was situated done the road. This guest house was undergoing some refurbishment whilst we were there, so it wasn't as good as it could have been. The price was fantastic 30 Euros for B & B.
