We had our wedding here in December. The staff went out of their way to make everything go smoothly for the wedding, including adding several vegetarian options to the menu just for me. The ceremony room was beautiful with red carpet, old paintings and chandelier. The reception room had a roaring fire, fantastic waiter service and excellent staff welcome for... more

A wonderful hotel, in a wonderful location. The miners way walks are excellent, weather permitting, great on a Sunday morning to clear the head. Pool, sauna, steam room were good, jacuzzi unfortuntately was not working. Some great rooms around the lobby for a quiet drink, with a good standard of bar food available. Hotel Room itself was spacious and very... more

We stayed here in November on a weekend away. The main part of the hotel was absolutely freezing on the friday night. We ate bar food in the drawing room - food was great, setting is terrible. The room was really cold - what kind of castle has no open fire? This was the only bar open that night -... more

I stayed with my mother on one of their €99 per night breaks (incl a spa treatment plus bed & breakfast in a twin room). The new thermal suites were wonderful. We had dinner in the drawing room. The service was friendly and professional but very slow. If one was in a hurry, this would jar, but we were pretty... more

stayed here recently. The room had a not so lovely view onto a central concrete area that was surrounded on 4 sides by other rooms so, everyone can see into everyone elses rooms and the windows from a corridor on one side looked directly into our room. so, for privacy, basically had to keep curtains shut for our short stay.... more

In the middle of nowhere we had no choice but to stay over for a wedding. Expensive so one expects the best. Checked in and given room where the smell of smoking was overpowering. To be fair changed immediately by very pleasant reception staff. New room had a bare light bulb as a centre light, no TV remote and no... more

Stayed in Kilronan castle as a surprise for my birthday, had a fab time, everything was amazing, it was extra good as it was a surprise so I knew nothing about it until the night before. I was so impressed with the substantial building as we approached up the long driveway. A very friendly & efficient receptionist met us on... more
