I stayed at Lough Owel Lodge in 1999 with my two children. It was my first trip to Europe and my first trip as a single parent. I still recall looking out the window one morning at the lake and the sheep and the beauty thinking this was the most beautiful spot in the world. My family is from Balinalee... more

I stayed there with my boyfriend only one night, but the hospitality of Irish people is incomparable. It was a cold and rainy day but when we arrived the warm welcome had already heated our hearts. They served us a good tea and turn on a gas stove. We drank the tea and flipped through some books of the library.... more

We really enjoyed our stay at Lough Owel Lodge for 3 nights B&B with beautiful views and a very peaceful feeling to this homely up-market house. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and allowed us to fully enjoy the comfortable ambience. We would certainly stay here again. V&K Jellicoe - England more
