Searching for somewhere to stay near, but not in Seville (which is terribly expensive during the April Fair) I searched around Carmona and came across El Triguero. The photos on the web site looked beautiful so I emailed the hotel (in Spanish) and booked. They required 50% deposit by bank transfer in advance. The room rate seemed reasonable, €55+VAT for bed and breakfast.

The directions on the web site same down to the address and a crude map, but when I emailed the hotel for more detailed directions they told me to look on the web site and phone when I was close if I got lost!

In the event, I can report that the hotel entrance is at km 19 on the A398 (Carretera Carmon - El Viso del Alcor) not km 18 on the N398 as it says on the web. There is a small sign at the entrance off the A398 opposite some kind of lorry park, about 2km from the outskirts of Carmona.
