We arrived without reservations and were given the last room. It was across the street from the main hotel, large and contemporary, very unlike the exterior. We had a patio overlooking a small yard. The pool area was excellent, with a gorgeous view. If we are ever back, we'll ask for a 'room with a view' but we'll stay here... more

We visited the Carabeo for a short break to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, after reading previous reviews and were not disappointed. The hotel is set in a picturesque and quiet location overlooking the sea a few minutes walk from the Balcon de Europa. Had a really nice holiday in this small hotel in central Nerja. We had a street facing room for 4 nights then a Junior Suite for a week. Both were fine. The Street room suffers from having no balcony or terrace. Its also pretty noisy on the street until the early hours so you have to use the in room... more

We found it very hard to find a restaurant in Nerja that didn't have ready made quick food with laminated menus. This was an exception. British owned and many British on the staff so usually no language problems. We celebrated my wife's birthday there and had a lovely meal. I had ordered flowers over the internet while still in the states and the hotel took care of arrangement and it was also lovely. Very spacious room and reasonable price. Beautiful grounds and pool. Recently stayed at the Hotel Carabeo we were not that impressed,the suite that we given had a poor balcony with very little space or sea view it also had it's own shower with water running down the roof from the upstairs air con, the Tv in the room would not work on satelite on the second day we were told... more

The Hotel was lovely. The Al-Fresco dining is an experience of a lifetime at their restaurant with the sounds of the sea waves in the background, very relaxing.Food was excellent and wine menu superb! The rooms are very spacious and luxurious. Had a lovely English cottage feel with the added benefit of the Spanish sunshine! more

Myself and my husband stayed here for 5 nights from the 23rd May in the penthouse suite. On arrival at the hotel the staff were so welcoming and pleasant and this continued throughout our stay. Great hotel. On a side street - pedestrian only. There is a bit of construction going on in front of hotel at this point, but it did not bother us at all. There are only a few rooms at this hotel. We had a room with balcony - lovely ! Staff most freindly. Restaurant in hotel - delicious. Great stay.... more
