I stayed at this Hostel twice during 2007. Staff spoke english and were helpful and friendly. Booked single accommodation both times I stayed. Rooms and dorms are downstairs in this old historic building in central Fribourg. Rather solid building and seems a bit sterile looking. First time I had my own room with sink, and dorm bathroom across hall. Second time I had twin bedded room to myself with no sink/water, and shared bathroom around hallway. Very secure and was quiet both times I stayed. Breakfast upstairs was casual and staff friendly. Basic good breakfast (nice assortment of breads, jams, fruit, juice, tea and excellent coffee from machine). Breakfast room has a nice outlook and is very bright. Internet terminal in reception area. I stayed in quite a few Swiss Hostels during 2007 and this was at the usual good standard. more
