We stayed three nights in two different rooms (because we booked so late). yes the rooms are a little small but they have so much charm and character. And the food!! Its wonderful, we couldn't get enough. This is really a B&B, don't expect the Four Season's (but the food is of that quality). But do expect a charming little... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our one-night stay in the Charolais suite. We took up our reservation for lunch prior to checking in and were well looked after - the food was excellent, as we'd expected with the restaurant's Michelin star, and very reasonably priced. My husband was particularly impressed with the freshly made souffle he had for dessert! Staff were welcoming... more

I stayed at the Charolais suite a week ago and loved the whole experience. The private hot tub was one of the things i've been looking forward to - we had our dinner and the restaurant was packed with customers which created a lovely buzz. Food was delicious and perfect. We went for breakfast the next day after a lovely... more

We arrived for lunch which was really good, tasty and imaginative unfortunately everything changed when we were checked in to the accommodation. Due to the lack of cleanliness surrounding the bed/bedding (the covers had stains on and the mattress was discussing with no protector, the throw over the bed was dirty and headboard stained). The hot tub was not hot... more

I staed in the Limousin suite with my boyfriend for his birthday. It was located in a lovely town which was about 10 min walk to the river. The room blew me away. The chandelier was beautiful and the copper bath was something different and great!! we had dinner which was absolutely delicious. For breakfast we decided to have a little... more

This one is definitely a little eccentric - but extremely enjoyable. We stayed in the Angus room - the converted ground floor of a period cottage with cow-hide furnishings and a hot-tub in a sheltered bijoux garden out back. Extremely comfortable and cosy night, great food in the restaurant and then a hamper of deliciousness for breakfast. more

We had Sunday lunch and stayed in the cottage room with a private hot tub. We checked in at 1pm and saw the pub packed with happy relaxed diners. We sat in the smaller half of the room and were not at all crowed. In fact a table for 6 was made up for just the two of us, which... more

From others' reviews I looked forward to a wedding anniversary stay in Dexter suite and was very disappointed. Bathroom was good, lots of towels, good bath and shower etc. However what others have described as quirky I would describe as pokey. The room itself was small and one had to manoevre round the other person to move about. There's no... more
