My partner and I stayed here for one night . Lovely staff , great service. Large spacious rooms , with a clean shared bathroom . All staff very helpful . Although the pub toilets could do with a little updating , you arent sleeping in those are you? Excellent value . And the micro brewery on site is great for... More

We arrived a little after 8pm and were greeted by two lovely young spanish ladies who were more than helpful, we were then shown to our rooms, and to be fair they were very reasonable considering the cost of the weekend and the breakfast more than enough, the beer brewed on site was spot on and again the price was... After a day climbing in the lakes we arrived at the hotel around 8pm in the evening and was welcomed by a young spanish lady who could not have been more helpful, after getting checked in, we spoke to the chef and he went out his way to make sure we had a hot meal, which i will say was... More

It was filthy: I had to wipe down the kettle defore using it. I had to do the same with the single bedside lamp in the family room. There were cobwebs hanging from the ceilings in the hall, restaurant and room. The stench coming from the ladies loo in the stairwell was disgusting The mattresses were so thin, it was... More

Even though the hotel was in the process of being updated, the family room was spacious, airy and well decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the breakfast and the family room. The bathrooms needed updated but were clean. Overall a very nice stay.

Hotel was dirty generally, had to request toilet paper on two occasions as there was none provided. Shared bathroom facilities were not clean, toilet seat fell off twice during our stay which was only one night !! Staircase leading to rooms smelled of wet dog and again had not been cleaned for some time. Staff were indifferent. The only redeeming... More

I feel it is fair to put the experience of this guest into context. Firstly, their stay was part of a large group and due to their insistence of single rooms (we only have twins, doubles and a family room), we had to ask a long-staying guest if they would mind moving rooms for one night. The guest does keep... More

I needed to stay in the area and was intrigued by the totally opposite reviews this hotel got on various sites. I had booked in advance but when I arrived, the personnel had no idea about what I had booked (room with a shower), that I was travelling on my own and that I was staying for one night only.... More

I am sorry that this guest felt that her stay was not to her liking. When issues are brought to our attention at the time, we are always happy to oblige and amend any of our shortcomings. However, during this guest’s stay, none of these concerns were raised to us. There was an unfortunate mix-up when this guest arrived, largely... More

I travel up from Birmingham every two months to visit my 6 year old daughter and have stayed twice at Croglin Castle. We have both enjoyed our time here-perhaps the title 'hotel' does lead to greater expectations, maybe 'B&B' would be more apt. The rooms were spacious and certainly clean enough for my standards, and although aesthetically things could be better, everything was perfectly... More

I was at Croglin Castle with a friend back in April. We had a lovely twin room. I have to say, the place didn't look wow super wow when we arrived (added to this we walked from the station to the hotel and it's a looong walk!)... anyway, when we got to our room I was really happy to find... More
