We stayed here in room 1. The house is lovely and the gardens however, I want to relax on holiday not be given a list of rules, a rigid 8.30 beakfast time and complete a list of my breakfast requriements the previous day, like being in hospital. I was and told not to get make-up on the towels. The rooms was fussy, with satin covers and pillow shams, which finished up on the floor, when the very nice duvet covers would have been perfectly adequate with a couple of cushions added. We stayed here for 3 nights in June and it was a great find. Very comfy bed, TV/DVD, separate sitting area and a large ensuite shower room. All spotlessly clean and nice decor. This was room no 1 which is in the separate barn conversion and has direct access from the car park. It overlooks the car park so isn't quite as private as the other rooms, and there were 2 steps up to the toilet and shower which isn't ideal (especially if you're half asleep!) - but these are just 2 slight niggles as everything else was perfect. Including breakfast and the lovely hosts, Chris and Colin who are very friendly and helpful.
Coltishall is a lovely village on the edge of the broads. We had a lovely 2 days cycling in the area and ate in 3 excellent places in the evenings - all in walking distance - 2 pubs The Recruiting Sargeant & The Rising Sun, and Andamin Orchid (Thai restaurant)
