I've stayed at the Stuart House on business several times and it's fine for an overnighter. The rooms are a bit old-fashioned and small, but are clean and warm. Stayed here overnight and was most impressed by the quiet location and warm welcome. The bar does a good range of beers. I enjoyed the evening meal - good thought out menu - and wine list. Chose this hotel becuase it was near the station and renowned for real ales. What a find. We (6 x 37-50yr old lads prepearing for a wedding 20 miles away the following day) were made most welcome.
