I recently visited Kings Lynn on business and stayed at the tudor rose, great breakfast and friendly staff, rooms were slightly old fashioned but clean and comfortable. We thought it was a bargain and the new owner a real gent. Lovely courtyard to the rear which adds to its charm. more

Stayed here for one night, after a recommendation in a good pub guide. It was totally appalling. Externally it looks like a nice old building with a few AA & Egon Ronay recommendations. My boyfriend and I spent one night here, and although it's certainly not a luxury hotel I didn't find it quite as bad as the previous reviews suggested. Do not be misled by AA and RAC 2 star claims. This hotel is not registered with either. It is a dump. Dirty, broken tiles/shower. Filthy carpet and window, awful bed. Very noisy (it's really a pub not a hotel).The worst place I've ever stayed. more
