I had booked this B and B ( The old Post Office, part of the Three Horseshoes ) as a base for a walking weekend with my partner and a friend.

Our welcome was not a welcome as such as we queued in the bar with drinkers only to be told to go around to the back where someone would meet us.
We were shown hurriedly to our rooms by a lady who claimed that it was "not her normal duty to show guests around so to excuse her lack of knowledge". Fair do`s...

Our double room was small, bizzarely decorated with religous matter but clean and reasoanbly presentable except for the carpeted sideboard which looked like something from the 1960`s and was filled with very old out of date magazines.
Again, the decor needed updating a bit.......
I did not find the bed comforatble, my partner found it okay.

The bathroom was downstairs and to say that this was basic was to understate but they did provide soaps and toiletries which was useful.The shower head... more
