My Partner and I booked a two night stay through Late Rooms for the Padstow Christmas Festival (excellent value at £55/night including breakfast - much cheaper in comparison to other equivalent places in the area). The Inn is on a busy main road but is in easy reach of Padstow, The Eden Project, Port Isaac, Tintagel and the like. We... More

My husband and myself have just returned from a three night stay at the Halfway House Inn. We booked through late rooms and got a three night stay for the price of two nights bed and breakfast. The room was spacious clean and had access that we could come and go to suit ourselves without having to go through the... More

My partner and I stayed at the Halfway House Inn for a couple nights. On arrival the landlady gave us a complimentary drink because she couldn't show us to our room immediately as her husband was just finishing cooking a meal and she could not leave the bar. This was probably only about 5 mins, but a very nice touch.... More

My wife and I stayed for a week in mid-September. The room was plenty big enough, comfortable, clean, and everything worked. We had our own outside door. Although the pub's on the main A39 road, traffic noise was minimal. Food was plentiful, and good. Staff were helpful and pleasant. The only thing we weren't quite sure about was the fragrance... Our accommodation was small but had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable and although our room was near to the main road you couldn't hear any traffic. Breakfast was very well done and laid out. Ideal and good value for money. The only gripe was in the evening we chose our desserts from the menu and found it... More

My husband and I stayed at the Halfway House Inn whilst down in Cornwall for a friends wedding, I chose the inn at random through Latebookings.com as we were both completely unfamiliar with the area. We arrived on a Friday evening, and were quickly shown to our room by the Landlady. The room we were given was large, clean and... More

Called in for a meal myself, husband and 17 yr old son. Wish we hadn't bothered we were greeted as soon as we stepped foot in the door by the rude landlady stating that the menu's were on the table and order at bar.(We may have only wanted a drink). The small bar area had seating for 2 x 4... More

I was unaware that the customers were unhappy seated in the bar and would have found an alternative table for them if I had been advised of the problem (though the table they wanted to sit at was unavailable as it is in the snug which was entirely reserved for a party of ten who had pre-booked). As the lady... More

We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers. The family room provided ample space and had a large comfortable shower room. The facilities in the room were great - we even had an iron and ironing board! The room had independent access via a terrace overlooking stunning countryside views. The beds were large and very comfortable - a double... More
