I felt sad for this lovely building, it needs some TLC! The first thing you notice is the rotting wooden gate at the front and the outside tables that would at least benefit from some new tablecloths if not new tables. The room was clean and nicely furnished but let down by a host of problems - the bathroom towel rail fell off the wall the first time a towel was removed, the shower head rail was not properly fixed, old screws and wall plugs were left sticking out of the tiles, there was mould around the bath and the bathroom... You pays your money and take your chance that's what happens when you purchase a discount voucher deal. If I had been paying full price I would have been out of there fast very fast. We had a most enjoyable stay at this hotel. The breakfasts were great. Wi-fi worked fine in our top floor bedroom. The rogue apostrophe had gone from the banner but did appear on a board outside the hotel! A very friendly hotel - we hope to return.
