Booked for my 50th Birthday. Staff very welcoming and professional. Given an excellent table but all are positioned well. We eat early at 6.30pm and this is the quieter time for noise levels as like the Seafood Restaurant, once the conversation sparks up it can be quite loud. None the less, the menu is as always excellent with a chance... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the attic room and had meals in the Bistro and Rick Steins cafe. The hotel was nicely situated in Padstow, the room pleasantly furnished and clean but too small for a couple. You also need to be relatively fit to climb up to the room and quite small in stature to avoid bumping your... More

We visited St. Petroc's on 29th May, First impressions were very good and the restaurant looked very welcoming. We initially were hoping to dine at the seafood restaurant on the harbor however we did have a baby with us and were told children under 3 years old couldn't accompany diners at lunch time. We were advised when booking that the... More

Overall a very good experience. The guesthouse is in a fantastic location in the heart of Padstow. The building is old and charming and our room, 'Yellow', was very comfortable with nice extra touches like complimentary bottled water, home-made biscuits and a good selection of tea and coffee. We really enjoyed the complimentary bike hire too. Breakfast was very high... More

We stayed on a Friday night in the St Wenn Room, which is a lovely large room with a great big bath. The decor is lovely, very calm creams and whites, and the furniture chic. A beautiful comfy bed with crisp white cotton sheets and duvet. There's a nice guests lounge, and the breakfast was served in the bistro. Guests... More

We came to Cornwall for two nights for my birthday to take part in one of rick steins cooking school days. My husband booked us into the Estuary room which was at the top of the hotel up some narrow steep stairs. lovely room nicely decorated, very comfy bed and a good size. However I don't think I would want... More

Spent a most enjoyable day in Padstow, we had previously booked a table for dinner at Rick Stein's Café in Middle Street having previously eaten at his other restaurants. Our choice was a good one, the food was excellent and the Rib Eye Steak deserves special mention as being cooked exactly as we had asked and was wonderful. The bill... More

Stayed here for two nights in the middle of April, a Christmas present from my husband. We were in Estuary Room at the top of the hotel. My husband had chosen this room as it has views over, well, the Estuary! It did indeed, and when it stopped raining, it was a very good view. The stairs weren't as bad... More

I've just returned from a 3 night stay at St Petroc's, which was my 3rd stay in 4 years, and the standards have dropped over those years, the room we stayed in was supposed to have a new bathroom but the mirror was broken, there were boot prints on the tiles and large puddle under the bath. The room was... More

We have had dinner here a couple of times before and today went for lunch. Excellent service and food as ever. We all had various steaks/beef which were all really good. The puddings were fantastic. The atmosphere is nice, quite smart but not too posh. The pre lunch drinks in the reading room also makes a good casual dining experience.... More
