We stayed for a weekend in the Seafood Restaurant in August and loved everything about it. The room (room 9) was small and I was fully aware of this from pictures of their website at the time of booking, While it was small it was ample and I really liked it. Would definitely return to the hotel and the same... More

We had booked a special package of a 2-night stay including dinner and breakfast. We had a beautiful room, Room 3, at the side/front of the building with a view of the estuary. It’s a very relaxing environment that Jill Stein has created in the room, beautifully decorated in white and cream, in a sort of New England style. Both... More

The hotel is lovely and we stayed in a family room with two extra beds for the kids... The four of us were very comfy, in what is a 5-star room... I have to say that its the second time we have stayed in this hotel and eaten in The Sea Food Restaurant and it has to be said the... More

We spent two nights at the seafood restaurant. The room was good as was the breakfast. Dinner in the seafood restaurant was not enjoyable. First the tables were far too close together and were far too small. The food was ok but due to proximity of other diners all conversations were shared. Our second dinner was at the Bistro and... A mid-week break booked at late notice offered much better value than the rack rates indicate. The food and especially the service was up to the standard you would expect. I really appreciate impeccable, friendly service without hint of servility; this place hits the mark perfectly. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and we indulgently people-watched whilst perched on bar... More

The food in both The Seafood Restaurant and in Petroc Bistro was just stunning and worth every penny, it was faultless, well served and utterly delicious. The room on the other hand not so, we stayed in St Saviour's room in The Seafood Restaurant, it was clean and spacious enough and a decent bathroom. However the bed was shocking, so... More

Try & go midweek. Padstow's less crowded. Room 5 & 6 fantastic views. St Breocks Room cheaper and also good. Take a drink up to the balcony. Hardly anyone uses it. We stayed 4 nights. 2-3 is enough to do most things. Walk up Camel Estuary & take the ferry to Rock. Fantasic seafood. Irish oysters better than local and... More

Contary to others we were singularly unimpressed. Overpriced and under resourced it seemed. Resturant food was good but frankly the Loch Fyne fish we had the night before was better cooked and presented. Upon arrival we found the ACond wasn't working in our room which was recently re-furbished and was quite nice though without any view, so air was necessary.... More

We had pretty high hopes for the Rick Stein experience, and I'm pleased to say we were not disappointed. Lovely room (Room 1), wonderful bathroom, lovely restaurant(s) - possibly preferred Rick Stein's cafe to the actual Seafood Restaurant but that's a bit like comparing apples to oranges. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, great wine list, a really nice experience. We will... More

I took my elderly mother to The Seafood Restaurant as a birthday treat and we stayed in room 4 - a twin-bedded room with a bathroom to die for and the merest glimpse of the sea from the window! My mother has mobility problems and the staff could not have been more helpful or polite from beginning to end. Nothing... More
