The staff were very friendly, my room was clean and comfortable, the breakfasts were perfect and my steak meal one of the best ever. The views are wonderful. The whoe ambience is ideal. Thank you for making me so welcome. I'll be back! more

I have to say that I find some of the other reviews here rather cruel. I found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful and the locals quite chatty too. The decor is indeed very dated but in this day and age you pay for what you get and these guys obviously aim at the lower end of... more

We couldn't believe places like this still exist. Our room came straight from a 1970s sitcom... threadbare ancient carpet, mouldy woodchip walls with no decor, out-dated furniture, dodgy mattress and musty odour. The hallway outside was a storage area/come junkyard, the dining room looked like a prison visiting room....and they charged us 60 pounds for the privelege! Why the hotel... more

Just returned from six nights at Well Parc. The welcome was warm and the room was comfortable. The views were amazing and the beaches were a short stroll away - an amazing rocky beach and a stunning sandy surfing beach right on your doorstep. Ok so the hotel itself was a little scruffy but the family room we stayed in... more

A wonderful welcome from Lee, the lynchpin of this family run hotel - with great gardens, sea views and a small surfers' beach a few minutes walk away. Stunning views, coastal walks, 5 mins drive into Padstow, all make this a great spot. Sadly, the hotel feels uncared for and needs an overhaul - made me want to move in... more

First of all, I need to say we did not stay at the hotel overnight, we spent the afternoon there after stumbling upon the place after a long walk from Padstow. Please beware of other reviewers that give this 5 stars, i suspect they are family members/friends of the owners and not GENUINE reveiews, but thats my opinion. This place... more

on entering the hotel we noticed that there was no tread left on the carpet it appeared dirty and gloomy, not what we expected after seeing the images on the internet. we were charged £80 per night for b and b , so we expected the hotel to be something special . The bedroom door had been kicked in as... more

My single room was shabby, with original 1970's wallpaper and drab decor and a window curtain that once may have been white. I've seen better prison cells... The shared bathroom was little better with the same dated fittings and tiles missing. The only redeeming features were a reasonable bar meal and a decent draught beer in the bar. Thankfully i... more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on 30 June as part of a 3 day walk with two other couples on the Cornish coastal path. It's in a very good location with views of the sea from some rooms, though sadly not ours. The front of house staff were friendly on arrival and throughout our stay. Breakfast was well... more

The only good thing about this run down shambles is the location. Its a shabby, smelly pub which we can still smell in our bag. The rooms are dated, smelly and not at all clean. The welcome (once we'd appreciated that the lady who greeted us was the daughter of the owner) was less than warm, andat the price it... more
