I don't normally write reviews but I chose this bed and breakfast off late rooms and would like to at least try and help people avoid making a potential mistake. I didn't realise that the bed and breakfast was above a pub (not a picturesque pub - the type that does £5 meal deals etc) and although the room was clean and good proximity to the beach, when we returned from a meal at Padstow we could hear the bar music in our room, thumping away quite loudly. At 11.30pm I thought it would have stopped but it didn't so I rang down to be told it would go on to midnight. They turned the music down slightly but not significantly and then after midnight they turned it down a lot but it was still loud enough to hear it in the room when they said it would be switched off. I rang down again and then they did turn it off. Not what I expected from a bed and breakfast supposedly at £84/night which we got for a reduced rate of £60. We complained in the morning and got it half price, which helped... more
