This is the sort of place I wish we could find all over the country. Proprietor owned and run. The landlady was a lovely oriental lady who obviously took great pride in ensuring the place looked good with fresh wild flowers all over the place. We stayed at the hotel while attending a nearby wedding. The room itself was serviceable, though we were at the back, on the end and, with the window open overnight (necessary even in England in June!), there was a lot of unexpected traffic noise for such a small village. We stayed here for one night whilst travelling around Dorset. We received a friendly welcome. The room was clean and spacious with a nice bathroom with both bath and shower. The evening meal that we took in the restaurant was good, as was the cooked English breakfast. We will stay here again. more
