We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-day stay. Joanne was a wonderful host; she enthusiastically supported our search for sites where ancestors had lived and gave us helpful suggestions. She even invited us to attend the school's May Day celebration, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! The breakfasts were delicious;; there were so many choices it... More

Very comfortable, clean and with all you need for a stay in the Cotswolds. The host and hostess are very welcoming and friendly and Joanne's breakfasts are the best. All local produce and organic and home made where possible. Faultless all round. Thoroughly recommend it.

Very nice place to stay in a lovely village. We had a double room but the fact it wasn't en suite didn't matter as the bathroom was just across the landing and was well appointed.Very accommodating hosts, went out of their way to be helpful and we were provided with excellent breakfast with all the trimmings. Nothing was too much trouble... More

We stayed here for one night. The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The host was very friendly and welcoming, and there is also plenty of parking. The location is a little out of the way of anything so you will need a car.

We stayed here for one night in July 2012 as we were going to a wedding nearby. Good B & B's are very hard to find but this was lovely. Breakfast is served at a time of your choice. Rooms immaculately clean and tidy with lovely fluffy bath towels. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and were willing to... More

We were looking for a B&B at rather short notice and because we should be arriving at the end of a long drive it looked as if we should be arriving well outside normal hours. We contacted the Highlands and received an immediate and most friendly and helpful response. Because the house is situated well up above Nailsworth - with... More

My girlfriend called this place from a list of places to stay close to a wedding venue (the Egypt Mill) in Nailsworth. There is a short walk into the town, but after a wedding reception it was a welcome stroll back. We received a very warm welcome when we arrived. Our room and bathroom was smartly decorated and spotless (until... More

Needing a B & B to break our journey we found this one not too far from the M5. I should have studied the map contours better, for it was at the end of a long, narrow, single track road uphill. with tricky passing places. We had a job to find it as the sign seemed to point to next... More

Highlands Bed and Breakfast is a family home, based in the beautiful Gloucestershire Cotswolds. After spending a night in one of our comfortable and elegantly decorated rooms, breakfast is served in our airy conservatory overlooking the landscaped gardens. Squirrels, rabbits and a wide variety of birds including woodpeckers regularly visit at breakfast time. We enjoy serving excellent quality fresh food and make good use of our bountiful selection of fair trade, organic and local suppliers. Eggs come from our own chickens. Our organic bread is freshly baked each day using flour from Shipton Mill (9 miles away). We buy Horsley Sausages and other breakfast supplies from Horsley Village (less than a mile away). The Milk, Yoghurt and Butter we serve are always organic and from one of the following suppliers: Jess' Ladies, Prince Charles' Duchy Estate and Yeo Valley. Croissants and Pain au Chocolat are freshly baked each morning and served warm. We also provide a delicious selection of fresh fruit, such as raspberries, strawberries, melon and bananas. There is free WiFi internet access and each room has a flat-screen TV with numerous digital channels, tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk and biscuits, hair-dryer, a long mirror, luggage rack, touch bed-side lights, high-quality toiletries, towels and you can help yourself to still and sparkling bottled water from the guest fridge. Silver Jewelry and Greeting Cards are available to buy and we can supply other items for special celebrations such as an ice bucket and champagne glasses. We look forward to welcoming you to our home and will do everything in our power to ensure that you enjoy your stay with us. Best regards, Joanne x ... more   less
