The wild garlic is one of a number of restaurants in the area which compete with each other for customers throughout the year. On the corner of the main Nailsworth drive through this restaurant is a small and compact business offering decently priced food. From the time my wife and I entered the restauarant to the time we left we... More

Set in the backdrop of the beautiful rolling hills of the Cotswold The Wild Garlic has a lot of potential and it certainly offers a nice menu. However it is terribly overpriced complimented by an inattentive and careless service. After specifically asking our waiter (who we believe to be the manager) to have the duck cooked medium well-done it came... More

First the restaurant, which is small, nicely decorated and comfortable. The service was also very good. But the star of the show has to be the wonderful food. We had the tasting menu and I would highly recommend that others do the same. Now the rooms. We stayed in one of the rooms for two nights. They are comfortable and... More

Had a good meal at Wild Garlic, the veggie tasting menu. All the courses apart from one were good and the dessert was excellent, but we did complain about the roasted artichokes and shallots, which were very chewy. The evening was rather spoilt by a waitress who persisted in calling my wife 'darling' and who when we complained about the... More

We did not stay at the Wild Garlic but went there for evening meal. Service was wonderful, food was absoloutely delicious - good portions, great flavours well cooked and beautifully presented. It is a true gem of a find in the middle of Nailsworth. If you are ever in that part of the UK make sure you book a table... More

Stopped by for lunch, extremely good especially the fish stew. The pudding with a glass of dessert wine was a perfect end to the meal, shame no room for the cheese. Will definitely return. More

I have just written a review about the restaurant but would just like to say that we had a brill stay here. We stayed in the Chestnut room which was very light and airy and it was nice to have the sofa. From the time we arrived the staff were great very helpful and friendly all the time. Breakfast was... On arrival the reception was great, the room was large, well laid out and extremely comfortable. The evening meal was devine, my partner has picky eating habits but loved every morsel. Because she requested no horseraddish sauce with her steak Mathew served a jug of red wine sauce (this to a lady who hates sauce) she devoured every drop. The... More

This used to be a favourite spot for friends for a treat (it's not cheap!) but the service has become a bit impersonal and we've been sent away on 3 occassions at 9pm becuase they have stopped serving food...shame! The veggies get only one choice (and too often it's cheese, then cheese) so it's not ideal for a group. The... More
