I stay in this hotel once or twice a month and over time have probably slept in most of the rooms. The room quality is very variable, with some of the older 'standard' rooms in the main part of the building above the bar being especially tired and in need of overhaul - if reviewing only those rooms, this would... I stayed for one night recently as I was working locally. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and more than adequate for a short stay. I ate in the downstairs conservatory restaurant and the food was lovely. My only problem was that they only offer a set 4 course menu which was to much for me but at... More

6 of us went to this hotel for the new years eve party break for two nights. The party night was very good with great dj and wonderful food. We did have an issue with no wine list on the table but we managed to get over this. The food in this hotel is very good and plentiful. Overall the... More

Just returned from a two night stay at this hotel with friends. Staff couldn't have been nicer, food really scrummy and Joe who managed the venue was excellent. Would definitely return. More

I have rated this hotel on a value for money basis. We paid £69 for room 68 which was a family room, a double bed and the sofa for our 11 year old daughter. Fng or £69 it was brilliant value - not luxury but comfortable - very large room, TV, tea & coffee etc. The bathroom was fine althought... More

Very much extended Coaching inn. Many of the rooms are in separate buildings at the rear of the main hotel -these have less ambiance but are fine, comfortable, well equipped and quiet. Asked for a cup of tea in the bar during 'drinking hours' not expecting much enthusiasm and was pleasantly surprised by the result and the service. The breakfast... More

The price of £59 for a double room with a great buffet breakfast was excellent. The menu included black pudding which is sadly missing at many hotels these days! The room was well equipped with a good range of tea and coffee and shower products. The bed was comfortable. My only very slight criticism would be the limited range of... More

We have stayed at this hotel about 5 times in the past few years and have found it to be very good. Perhaps the on spec overnight tariff is a bit pricey but if you can secure an out of season deal it is great value. Our last stay cost £120 for 2 people for 4 nights B & B... More

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel despite the title to this review. The staff were, without exception friendly and welcoming and the hotel has a warm, pleasant feel to it. I couldn't turn on the heating in my room, but this was sorted out with the minimum of fuss while I was out for supper and the room was... More

You simply cannot go wrong with this hotel. Its location is superb in the centre of Market Harborough. The room was excellent value for money - I really noted this as I booked only several days ahead and was able to get the room I wanted. The staff were helpful and polite and the rooms clean and a very comfy... More
