I've stayed in this hotel twice now, once in summer, once in November. 1st time the hotel side was fine. The restaurant was busy and as a lone female traveller, uncomfortable but bearable. The November visit, the receptionist was having a bad day. From the moment I arrived all she did was complain about computer problems...hey we've all been there,... more

Staff very helpful and friendly, room and bathroom spotless and very comfy bed too. The selection of food for breakfast was excellent, really fresh and well worth the price of £7.50 "eat as much as you like" (fresh fruit salad, organic yogurt, fruit juices, cereal, toast/croissants and the full English breakfast too plus coffee/tea etc.). I will definately stay here... more

Have stayed in a few Premier Inns and this is the best one yet. Excellent room with large king size bed, superb shower, and a nice surprise , a TV with all the Freeview channels on it. The Brewers Fayre next door was also first class, with an great choice of menu, especially if you had the two for £9 deal.... more

I stayed here four times in July for business and found it to be a good business, no frills hotel. The front desk staff are careful to give women travellers rooms away from ground floors and are careful not to announce room numbers in front of other guests, as well as spyholes and chains on all room doors.. The rooms... more

Due to visiting family in the area we were forced to stay one night in the area and as there weren't too many oportunities we chose a Premier Inn for the first time. My positive impression started with receiving there welcome text in the morning and didn't disappear during our stay. The room was freshly renovated, had enough space and... more

Hotel was very good, comfortable, good sized rooms and friendly reception staff. Beds were very comfortable, and no noise at night. However please don't risk eating at attached Brewers Fayre. Breakfast was ok standard, however our evening meal was terrible. Surly bar staff and luke warm, what looked like reheated food. We were all relieved to wake up the following... more

Great to hear the hotel lived up to our high standards - our beds are very comfortable, rooms are clean and spacious and our staff are always happy to help in any way they can. It looks like some work is needed here on the restaurant side of things though; we value feedback both positive and negative, and will act...

Great hotel, but there is no phone in room or even on the property (main lobby or pub across the way). Closest pay phone is in the hospital about 1/2 mile away where you have to pay to park. Reason given for no phone is that everybody has mobile phones so phones on site are not neccessary. As a traveller... more

Stayed for one night in October 2007 and was very pleasantly surprised. The room was large; the bed very comfortable and reception staff were extremely polite and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending Premier Inn and using their facilities again. As a female staying on my own, the receptionist handed me the key to my room very discreetly... more
