Did not stay, but went in for lunch after visiting Lacock abbey. Not a friendly welcome from the chap behind the bar, food average, toilets need updating and did not even get a "thanks and good bye" when we left even though the place was empty almost. We don't often eat out for lunch, this reminded us why! more

We arrived early in the evening and were lucky enough to get one of the two rooms available at the historic Carpenters Arms in Lacock. Our hostess was extremely warm and friendly. The room was nice and the meals were excellent! I would definitely stay there again. more
