This was a great place to stay. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The hosts made us feel so welcome and they made reservations for dinner for us at a local restaurant within walking distance. Great breakfast. We would highly recommend.

Stayed with my husband for one night, one of may B& Bs we had stayed in during a week's holiday touring the area. Both David and Catherine were splendid hosts, and our room information on a wealth of tried and tested places to visit as well as local eateries. The highlight was the breakfast... David's award winning porridge was delicious,... More

Dave and Catherine make us very welcome every time we stay, the kippers for breakfast are stunning. The rooms are very comfortable and the view across the Shinty field at the front is relaxing on a nice summers evening. The beds are very comfortable which I need as I have a back problem, Brilliant...

We have stayed in other properties in the area but this is the best for value so far! It's clean, has comfy beds, good breakfasts, great hosts and it's warm!! We stayed at highland view one year and froze, the owners didn't want to put the heating on! Thank you Catherine and David, for your hospitality and drying Gerry's clothes!!... More

Great location for things to do, amenities and eating/drinking. Nice cosy, warm, clean, comfortable and well equipped rooms. The owners were very helpful. The breakfast was incredible, make sure you try the porridge, it takes him an hour to make in the morning and is delightful.

We stopped at Fern Villa for the night before embarking oon our three peaks challenge, David was very welcoming after a long drive from Newcastle and provided us with a very hearty breakfast the following morning. Highly recommended and would definately re-visit if we needed a B&B in the area again.

We stayed at the Fern Villa for one night. Great little guest house, very friendly owner, cute dog and hearty breakfast. Highly recommended, would stay again. For the price (£44), couldn't have asked for better.
