We chose to return here to celebrate our special birthdays following a one night stay last year. Every bit as good as we remembered. Room was fantastic.Beautiful four poster bed very spacious. The service in the hotel is super. Dinner was very pleasant. Breakfast was fresh and well presented. Log fires and afternoon tea heaven. A great break - we... more

Absolute heaven - charming, helpful staff, fabulous food, delightful surroundings and the best massage ever. The hotel interior is tasteful, elegant and comfortable - lots of sofas to curl up on with an abundance of newspapers and magazines to read in front of a roaring log fire. The perfect place to recharge the batteries! more

We used to visit The Roxburghe every so often a few years ago-just when we fancied a bit of luxury over the weekend- my partners family are from Kelso (the local town) and the one thing that really stays with me is the smell of the real fires in all the public rooms. Our room of choice is room 8... more

After a couple of previous "business related" visits to this marvellous hotel we chose it as the venue for our wedding. (Nothing to do with the fantastic golf course you realise!). One of the 22 rooms was already booked so we took the other 21 (to accommodate 39 adults, 1 child and 1 baby) as part of the "wedding package"... more

I stayed on my own, on this ocassion as a treat to myself, having been very busy at work, and having a Husband away Fishing with his chums. This hotel has the added benefit of allowing dogs to stay but only in certain rooms. I felt totally at ease being on my own having dinner in the grand dinning room.... more

I stayed at this hotel for one night following a wedding. I was given one of the large feature rooms which I am sure cost an arm and a leg as it was partially subsidised by the bride and still cost me £130! My room was lovely and very traditionally 'country house' in terms of decor and furnishings. The bed... more

Superd service, excellent food and very well looked after. Tried the shooting which was well organised, there is the golf course which looked good but did not have time to play it unfortunately. Ideal for families or if you just wanted to escape to the countryside. Lovely part of the world - special ! more

The Roxburghe was a pleasant surprise, the hotel is magnificently set in the beautiful Scottish Borders and we found it an ideal location for an active family break. There is a Championship 18 hole golf course which was in excellent condition, although I would advise using a golf cart as it is a long walk. There is excellent salmon fishing... more

We expected very little from this hotel, which was chosen for its location. It turned out to be a delightful overnight stay, in spacious rooms with excellent bathrooms, good service and great food. From here we went on to Inverlochy Castle, which was not as good, and more than double the price. more

I have just returned from a very relaxing 3 night stay at the charming Roxburghe Hotel and loved every minute of it. The hotel is gorgeous, very comfortable and cozy. The bedrooms were of a high standard with public areas downstairs to relax in front of log fires. Service was exceptionally high with housekeeping staff attending to the bedrooms twice... more
