Sue and Mike are extremely welcoming and helpful and their staff as well. The hotel is being updated but, unfortunately, our rooms h were the last to be tackled. The food, apart from breakfast, is disappointing but, apparently, a new chef has arrived. Newton Stewart is not an attractive town but it stands in wonderful countryside. more
