During a touring and walking trip of the north west highlands we pitched up in Ullapool hungry and tired. We found rooms available at the Arch Inn. The Inn had vacancies when I rolled in around 21:00, and exceeded expectations. Cheap room (60 sterling), comfortable bed, wireless, tub, good breakfast, and a view overlooking the harbor. Staff was helpful in locating a good day hike nearby as well. No complaints. more

We were recommended the Arch in whilst staying at Riverview B&B and boy were we not dissapointed!! The place was busy but the bar staff were still really friendly, we found a table with excellent views out to the loch. It seemed odd to check in through the pub and the proximity to the pub made the rooms noisy from the pub patrons. Room was more like a motel than a B&B. The towels we ok but not really thick. The Arch Inn, Ullapool is pretty good for a cheap night. I paid £30 for single B&B in August 2006 in high summer tourist season which I booked at short notice & many other places were full.
