We visited Tanglewood House for a couple of days in October this year. And we were very glad we did! The property is quite unique in a fantastic location overlooking Loch Broome. Our view from the balcony of the bedroom was stunning. In fact every window's view was just that. A really interesting house - comfortable and easy on the... more

At just 24 hrs notice, Anne very kindly allowed us to add our adult son to our cycling party. A warm welcome, excellent rooms and very good dinner ( and breakfast). Remember to BYO ( no corkage charge). Bikes were under cover in the garage. The situation of the house is oustanding with unobstructed views over Loch Broom. Those (like... more

it is hard to put into words how beautiful this place is and its most incredible location, on the shore of Loch Broom and overlooking the beautiful town of Ullapool Anne is an incredible host and fabulous cook. The rooms and bathrooms are sumptuous, warm and comfortable with wonderful views of the countryside replete with otters and seals playing about... more

Tanglewood House is an outstanding place to stay: The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is delicious and the view on the Loch is great. The hosts are very friendly and efficient. Dinner is also offered: It is fine if you can get the dining room for yourself, otherwise you will need to accept sharing with other guests (Introverts, beware!). The... more

We stayed at Tanglewood House for 3 nights. Absolutely fantastic experience. The atmosphere was totally relaxed. Ann was the perfect host - nothing was too much bother for her. Our evening meal was first class. We were entertained by the two dogs who were so well behaved. The views over the Loch were beautiful. We shall certainly be returning again... more

We stayed at Tanglewood House for 2 nights before travelling over to the Outer Hebrides, the house was lovely and Anne was very welcoming and made us feel at home there. The food was exceptional and the setting sublime. My most favourite memory of our stay was watching the sea otters from the balcony outside our bedroom in the early... more

We were lucky enough to share this unique property with the owner Anne and spent 2 days/nights being amazed by its location on the shore of Loch Broom and the individuality of the house itself. Anne was a welcoming host & always on hand with great advice on finding that out of the way place to see and ensured we... more

Tanglewood is a good find. It's a funny looking house, but inside (in the common areas) it's a house of old treasures and curios. The rooms are modern - more like an good boutique hotel than a B&B. The host offers excellent service. The food is good (the evening meal was not especially cheap). Overall, its a great place for... more
