We made The Point our base for 4 days in the highlands, with the intention doing day walks. It's very quiet being right at the end of the esplanade so away from any through traffic, and it offers deligthtful views over Loch Broom. We stayed one night in Point Cottage and found it to be very clean, cozy and quiet. Excellent breakfast in the morning served by the friendly and helpfull host. We stayed at Point Cottage for the first time for two nights in May. The host was welcoming, the location quiet with great views of the loch from the bedroom window. The room we had at the front was clean and cosy. The breakfast was excellent. To eat we would recommend both the Frigate Bistr and the Ferry Boat Inn more
We were stopping at Ullapool for one night on our way to the Outer Hebrides, and clearly Ullapool is heavily dependent on this sort of passing traffic. A perfect spot at the end of the point in ullapool - quiet yet only a minute from the village centre. Unrivalled views of loch and moutains. Very comfortable bedrooms and super breakfast. Couldnt fault it - we will return. Having tried a few - the best accomodation in Ullapool. more
We had a wonderful stay in this delightful B&B overlooking the sea loch and mountains behind. Really warm welcome, very knowledgeable and helpful hosts, and a fab breakfast in the morning. Couldn't recommend it more highly. A+. more
