What an amazing place. We spent Christmas at the Seamus cottage - one of just two at this amazing location in Harris. We flew to Stornoway, hired a 4WD from the airport and drove our way down. Spent 3 nights at the Blue Reef cottages - my only complaint would be that we could not stay longer! Ideally loacted, peaceful and the height of luxury...next time we're in Scotland we will definitely be back. more

Not sure where to start with this. I don't believe in heaven but if I did it would resemble Blue Reef Cottages! We enjoyed a romantic getaway here for a week at the end of April. We went here for our Honeymoon and it is absolutely stunning. You really do feel your escaping from the world here. The beaches just a short walk from the cottages are out of the world. We will be returning in a couple of years. more

We stayed for 3 nights at the Blue Reef cottages in Scarista, Harris in November 2006. There are only two cottages each facing a different crescent shaped white sandy beach and crashing ocean.
