David and I would like to thank you both very much for your warm welcome. We had a most comfortable stay at the "Wavecrest" and the ensuite room was clean and truly excellent. === Your hospitality outclasses many hotels we have stayed in, in fact it surpasses them all in friendliness and attention. === Shelagh's cooking is wonderful, and the... more

We had to make an unexpected trip to Barmouth for family reasons and had to make a quick reservation for an overnight stay. We were booked into the Wavecrest on very short notice. We were welcomed warmly by Eric when we arrived after a long journey from the South coast of England, and shown to a really pleasant, period-decorated bedroom... more

I particularly enjoy the Mawdach Estuary and the Cader Idris mountain range. When I stay in Wales I always base myself in Barmouth. Barmouth is positioned fantastically in that... more

When we arrived... more

We have been returning to the Wavecrest Hotel for five consecutive years. Originally the place caught our eye from a Wales Tourism Board travel brochure as being good value for money. Shelagh and Eric offered full-board then, and that really was terrific value for money. The food was top restaurant standard. Bed & Breakfast is still good value. The breakfasts... more

I have been going to the Wavecrest in Barmouth for several years now since I graduated University. I have many fond memories of relaxing holidays spent there, and of both Eric and Shelagh Jarman who own the establishment. Therefore when myself and my other half were looking for a quite romantic break away on the coast to celebrate his 30th... more
