My partner and I visited the Min-y-mor for a weekend getaway. When we arrived, we were checked in by the manager, who was really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We went up to our room, which was very clean and pleasant. It’s not a super-modern hotel and the décor is very traditional so not to everyone’s... more

I stayed here with my husband and my in-laws in September and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Upon arrival we were welcomed by friendly faces, this was the case throughout our 5 day stay, they always made time to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were pleasant and always willing to help - whether... more

Stayed at this Hotel with my wife and elderly parents as a treat for them as they had stopped there 60 years ago and wanted to re-live a bit of their romantic days. Well at least they were not dissapointed with the decore as I don't think it had been re- done for the last 60 years so they recognised... more

We paid 80 pounds for a double room, the room was small. The bathroom worn out. Selection of shampoos and soaps provided the cheapest available, there was no hairdryer. The sheets on the bed were clean, but the blankets on the bed felt old and not too clean. Maybe the were just old. The room would have been ok for... more

I love Barmouth and this was a birthday treat from my husband as we had not been to Barmouth for about 5 years. The town is lovely but the Min-y-Mor was horrendous! Despite having booked through the travel information office, when we got there the hotel had no booking for us. The manager 'Mickey' was a joke and finally agreed... more

Min-y-Mor was once a great place to stay, good location, fair sized rooms, clean and friendly. But more than anything, it was good value for money and very popular. However, I recently attempted to book a room for myself and my husband on an upcoming trip to the UK, and discovered that the proprietors have changed the fee policy to... more

I booked this break a few weeks ago and can honestly say Barmouth is one of the most relaxing places to go in the UK. The beach is fabulous, the locals friendly and if you want to visit the shops, you won't spend a fortune, but then again who wants to on holiday. Some of the reviews on this hotel... more

We were a party of four who stayed at the Min y Mor for a long weekend. Arrived on Friday and left on Monday. We were allotted two rooms, the receptionist suggested that my husband and I take the larger, ground floor room as my husband is disabled. The couple who we were with took a smaller room on the... more

We stayed at the Mingy Mor last weekend and it's horrible - the restaurant staff were rude and not at all helpful. The rooms were minging - old furniture dirt and dust everywhere and the downstairs stank - wont be staying again more

Dear Sirs, Having read the review of September, 2006, I must respond. Three of us (males) stayed for a weekend break whilst studying local geology. I only came across this article when I was looking for the name of the hotel to give to somebody, as a recommended place to stay especially with the weekend break offer inc. dinner. We... more
