Bryn Melyn is a superb guest house. Heather and David are friendly and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble. The decor is lovely and the rooms clean and comfortable. The food is delicious: lots of fruit as well as yogurt, cereals and the full Welsh breakfast. Food is locally sourced whenever possibly. We had three dinners and they were all... More

Just returned from this beautiful B&B with my partner and dog. We stayed for two nights and will definitely be returning in the future. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are spotless, the service impeccable and the breakfast was tasty too! (our dog even got some tasty sausages) In the photographs, the views looked beautiful, and we were not... More

My boyfriend and i decided to stay here while on a mini-break. It was the views in the pictures online that sold it for us! So we were really pleased when we arrived and had Beautiful views from our bedroom. (Room 7) Big windows and a Really comfortable bed. Perfect for relaxing and admiring the scenery. I was in a party of six motorcycle enthusiasts that used the Bryn Meyln Guest House as our base whilst we toured around the beauty of Snowdonia. The place is spotless, breakfast was excellent but what we didn't expect was just how good the evening meals would be. Then of course there is the well stocked bar full of locally... More

Stayed here over Easter. It's in a lovely position in Barmouth overlooking the estuary. Very warm and friendly welcome. Had a lovely room, all clean and fresh, you can tell the owners take real pride in their business. Excellent choice at breakfast and the full welsh was made with quality ingredients.

My husband found Bryn Melyn, and we loved it! David and Heather are a wealth of information when you have any type of question. Room and shower were very clean. Even though its a bit of a steep walk back from town, the view is spectacular! The town is only a 5-10 minute walk downhill. Glad we had parking since... More

Thank you for those warm words. We are delighted you found us and had such a good stay. The offer of fresh milk is a new service in response to some of the comments that have been made on here. We needed to be certain that if we provided a flask of milk that it would not go off overnight... More

This was my second visit to Bryn Melyn and I stayed for four nights. Despite my stay coinciding with the worse weather at this time of year for decades, David and Heather made sure that the house was comfortable and warm. Having a warm bath after fighting blizzards on Cadair Idris was sublime! David and Heather were always visible and... More

It is always good to welcome back previous visitors. It's just a shame on this occasion that your plans were affected by the extreme weather that affected the whole of the UK this spring. At least here on the coast, as is often the case, the maritime climate kept us snow-free and as you say there's no better way of... More

Was welcomed by David on our arrival and taken to room 5 which is a twin room with the most spectacular views over the estuary. The room was spotless with a lovely en-suite shower room and gorgeous fluffy towels. We ate at the B&B at teatime and after enjoying a welsh cider in the bar/lounge area we paid £10.50 each... More

Thank you for your review and especially for the lovely things you said about breakfast. When we moved here we wanted to make sure that we built good relationships with local suppliers wherever possible and we have been delighted with our local butcher. The fact that he makes his own sausages and cures his own bacon less than half a... More

My girlfriend arranged this trip for my 36th birthday during what was a cold but sunny (at times) couple of days in mid February. It was our first time to Barmouth so we did not know what to expect. My partner had requested a room with a view and I can safely say it was the most spectacular view I... More

Thank you for your generous comments following your stay. It's always good to help people celebrate something - we get quite a lot of anniversaries and birthdays. We even had to help one guest with a marriage proposal! I am especially pleased you enjoyed lying on your bed and enjoying the view as we re-designed the room specifically so that... More
