We held our wedding reception there recently, which had been planned from the previous year. From the pleasant reception of guests on the Friday, through the wedding reception, until the last people left during the following week , they having made a holiday of it, the service was immaculate. I travel a lot, and as a rule I am not... more

After turning off the main roads took a steady ride along the narrow lanes to arrive at Gellifawr in a lovely country setting. Comfortable Hotel with friendly staff, and excellent cuisine. Would definately recommend for a mid week break. more

This hotel needs a big investment before it can justify itself. We had a tiny family room just above the bar which had not been properly cleaned (child's sock beneath the bed, sweet wrappers on the floor etc). The loo cistern did work properly and we didn't even try the shower it looked so old and worn out. Noise from... more

Not even a thank you or 'did you enjoy your stay?' when we left, just presented with our bill to pay, not even a goodbuy. Reception never open you have to try and find someone in the bar or kitchen. The single barstaff doubles as waiter so you can imagine the level of service. Food for the restuarant is carried... more

I was proud of reaching the hotel from a direction not on the web site without a GPS. It’s a beautiful hotel in a peaceful but remote situation. The rooms were lovely and the most comfortable that I have ever stayed in. I enjoy reading and the leather sofa and mother and daughter lights were perfect. Ample reading material was... more

Well, driving in Wales is an adventure - after a long day traveling from Paris and driving from London, we found ourselves following some quantly paved trails on our way to our destination. The sun was setting and we were loosing all hopes until we rounded a bend and found beautiful Gellifawr. What an oasis it was. The restaurant is... more

We booked one of the one bedroom cottages for 2 nights B&B before getting the ferry to Rosslaire from Fishguard. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the one bed cottage good value and perfect for us and our two sons of 3 and a half and 6 months. The bar and restaurant is also very good. Some friends... more

The hotel and cottages are set in beautiful countryside and have recentley been refurbished to a high standard. There is good wi fi connectivity in the bar so was able to access the internet for emails ect on my laptop. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it helped to make our steam car club tour a very pleasant... more
