Lovely spacious accommodation, spotlessly clean and up market and refined in every way from the breakfasts to the attentive hosts. This is the one to beat. Rather like being at home, without having to lift a finger!

We were warmly welcomed into this beautiful home, and shown to our lovely, comfortable room. Crickhowell is a perfect base for walking and exploring the Brecon Beacons and I can't imagine a nicer place to stay! The breakfast was really delicious, and the back of the menu showed where everything came from - mainly local suppliers, many of whom are... More

I think my title says it all! Spent five extremely comfortable nights at this exceptional B&B in Crickhowell. Alison and Julian welcomed us into their beautiful home where we were treated more like friends than paying guests. Our room, or should I say suite, overlooked the immaculate garden with views of the surrounding mountains and the bathroom had a wonderful... More

An absolutely wonderful B&B in the lovely little town of Crickhowell. Of the four places we stayed during our 12 day trip around Wales, Glan y Dwr was our favorite accommodation. Beautiful, comfortable, clean; delicious and hearty breakfasts.... Julian and Alison were so nice and gracious. Loved every minute of our stay!! Crickhowell makes a great base for exploring the... Glan Y Dwr is a very nice place to locate for a tour around southern Wales. The beautiful mountains offer hiking and driving scenery. The coal mining region is just to the south. The house itself is beautiful, and Alison and Julian are perfect hosts, accommodating all needs and offering excellent advise. On our arrival, my wife was becoming I'll... More

This was a fantastic B&B we visited for 2 nights when friends were married nearby in Crickhowell. The B&B and its hosts are wonderful. We couldn't have asked for nicer service, cleaner rooms or more comfortable beds. I am picky and want to stay in nice places when I'm paying for a holiday or I'd rather stay at home. Glan... More

This is our second visit, this time with some friends. Excellent stay again. Spotless, tasteful, warm and welcoming. Thank you for the loveley coffee / tea with cakes and great our breakfast. Great recommendations of places to eat in the evenings (Gliffaes Hotel and The Travellers in Talybont on Usk).

We stayed here during the Crickhowell walking festival in March. Cannot fault it in any way . The room was exceptionally comfortable, the breakfasts superb, and the hospitality offered by Julian and Alison was second to none. Can only echo the rave reviews of other posters. The only downside is that subsequent stays at B&Bs have simply not matched up... More

The welcome we received from Julian and Alison to their B&B really cannot be beaten. They run the B&B almost as if you are a friend rather than a paying guest and both the facilities and the welcome is hard to fault. The B&B is located in the middle of Crickhowell in the Brecon Beacons and very close to an... More

We stayed here for a weekend break away in January after seeing all the great reviews on Trip Advisor and we wholeheartedly agree with them all!!! Our room was so comfortable and spotlessly clean and we were made to feel vey welcome. The breakfast was great. We particularly enjoyed the homemade muesli and delicious fruit salad. The location was great... More
