I was taken here by surprise this past weekend for a romantic getaway and I was more than impressed. After a short drive from Halifax, we arrived at this quaint inn that appears to have stepped out of the 1800's and into today's busy world. The grounds were perfectly manicured, and spring flowers were blooming. The moment we parked the... More

Bed and breakfasts don't get any better than this. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel welcome. We were warmly greeted into a big beautiful old-fashioned home. The sun pours in through the large windows in the main areas. Taken to our suite, we were happily surprised. It was spotless with every amenity you could ask for.... More

This elegant old home with its antique furnishings is delightful to look at, and follows through with comfortable rooms and spotlessly clean facilities. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, the mattress was perfect, and the full included breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. There's a library in the sunroom, Internet access, and every amenity. I'll be back -- I... More

This is a top notch inn in a beautiful setting at a very reasonable price. The inn itself is strikingly beautiful and immaculately clean, but the personal touches of the owners and staff push the experience right over the top. STAY HERE!!!

My Mom and I stayed here to avoid travelling in a snowstorm. What a treat, a beautiful building, comfy beds, an amazing hot breakfast and charming host and hostess. The woodwork and all of the fine furniture took us back to a period in history we seldom get to experience. I have already recommended this to one friend and will... More

Tremendous value and very friendly owners. Just exploring this 100 years plus house is fun and the brekfast is great, Sean cooks the thickest fluffy pancakes I have eaten and will share his secret. We were skiing just down the road and the boys really enjoyed the hill.

Ah, you were one of the lucky ones who got to learn Sean's secret on how he makes the fluffiest pancakes around =) Good to hear that the boys had a blast at Martock, its nice to wake up and only have to drive 5 minutes to the ski hill. See you next year - we will have the pancakes... More

I loved this inn, the well appointed rooms (I saw a few) and the elegant history of the house itself. The gregarious innkeeper kept me company during the (amazing) morning meal, where I sat with hot coffee overlooking the lush gardens. If you are looking for romantic seclusion, be sure to get the attic suite with jacuzzi tub and plush... More

The Clockmakers Inn is an old luxury house which has been wonderfully preserved. It looks very appealing from outside, but gets even better inside. The ornamental woodwork is out of this world. Our room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was superb with a wide range of items on offer. Sarah and Sean are execellent hosts and when parked outside Rick's... More
