This place felt like I was in the movie Escape from New York. It is hard to believe that is was once part of the Hilton Caracas (just accross the street). I am not sure about the history of the hotel but heard that it is now run by an independent. The staff are courteous but speak little english. The whole hotel is really run down by almost any standard. The room was not clean; used soap, no towels, cockroaches were plentiful, dirty shower, dirty carpet, worn out linen and a circa 1970's TV. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Stay at the Hilton accross the street, its only marginally more expensive but extremely good value. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! EVER!!!
