5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 May 2013 NEW

The Luderitz Nest Hotel is an excellent place in Luderitz to stay, unwing and go exploring the ghost town near by and also the recreational coast. The Owner takes personal interest in seeing that the guests are well taken care of and it a common sight to see him interact with guests during the dinner. Very friendly and helpful staff.... More

The Nest Luderitz is a "Gem on the Necklace" which is adorned by the small coastal town of Luderitz. Though the hotel has several rooms it gives a very small and cosy feeling and one feels at home. Most of the rooms are sea facing and the small room balconies give a nice view of the sea. One is so... More

Although dated inside, rooms are comfortable with great views over the sea from the balcony. Interesting location a short walk from the town. Luderitz an interesting place and worth the long long drive. Our friends and I had ajoining rooms and despite being very quiet in the hotel and having booked and requested this months before this seemed an issue... More

We were booked in for 2 nights but only stayed for one - much to the disappointment of hotel staff! This did not reflect on the quality of the service and food, nor on the friendliness that is typical of Namibia, rather it is a reflection on the town itself. We arrived early afternoon and drove to Dias Point, Shark... More

The hotel is nice but whatever you do ensure that your room is close to the ocean for the best possible experience. The rooms were slightly "tired" but in the process of being upgraded. The food was excellent both for breakfasts and dinner. The staff were very warm and welcoming. Would not hesiate to go back there provided the room... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this hotel. It was only a stopover for the night, but made for a great resting place after a long drive. It is also very close to Kolmanskop (the "Ghost Town") which makes it ideal for sightseers. Also, try their oysters - phenomenal! The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. Our view... More

The trip from the South African border was a challebge( as all Namibian roads are in a saloon car). Luderitz is not worth visiting but we found a haven in the nest hotel. The position is heaven. All rooms are like being on a ship. Waves breaking under the window . Quite noisy at times but so fabulous. No other... More

As we travel we invariably find that a minimum of 2 nights is neccessary to appreciate a town or a hotel. We however only stayed the one night which turned out OK. The first room we were offered was at sea level facing the church but tucked in at the bottom corner of the complex, with poor views and a... More

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. Room balcony overlooking the sea, it was just spectacular! Food was great too at Cray Fish Bar, we ordered sea food platter, and loved it. Amazing sea food. I also tried diamond water drink, the waitress telling me "I wouldn't suggest it to girls" - it was a shot, a concentrated vodka shot... More
