We travelled to the Solomons in July 2009, and booked a seven night stay at Tetepare. We flew from Gizo to Munda - Munda is a very small village - but unfortunately no one was there to meet us. This was probably the only negative point in our whole stay - we understand that there were problems with the booking... more
This place was just crazy. A two to three hour boat ride from Munda and we were there. The rainforrest was unlike any I have seen, the vines were literally so thick that you couldnt see the trees. This eco lodge perched on a small knoll 100 metres from a protected lagoon that is literally over flowing with marine creaures... more
This place was amazing. The largest uninhabited island in the South Pacific and such friendly people. This is a very small scale ecotourism operation so only 15 people stay at once. Great custom leaf house accommodation, locally produced food (excellent fish) and the snorkeling was incredible. This is a conservation project set up to conserve the island so the guides... more
