After frequent stays in Jonesboro, I can tell you that it is tough to get a clean room, decent management, and a quiet night's stay. I've stayed at almost all of the much pricier Jonesboro hotels listed on Trip Advisor, and have NEVER had a decent stay at any of them.
On my last trip to the area, every hotel I checked was booked. I booked a room at the Econo Lodge - the only available place I could find - with great hesitation.
It turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The management was friendly, helpful, and organized, and the room was spotlessly clean. The parking lot was well-lit, the AC worked great, and they even had great water pressure!
It is an older hotel, a little threadbare and worn, but the price was a third of what the other places wanted, and the stay was much better than I've had elsewhere in Jonesboro. The pricier hotels in town could take a lesson on cleanliness and professionalism from the staff at the Econo Lodge!
